Meditation:

The 3 meditations currently being taught are:

Ruth Donnoley Three Centered Meditation: This meditation is used to align our 3 Dan tiens or centers-lower, middle and upper. This meditation will create a clear mind and open the major Qi channels. It is an excellent method to increase overall vitality and to help recover quickly from fatigue.

Meridian Meditation: This is to promote a smooth harmonious Qi flow in the 12 meridians of the body and in doing so it improves our organs, systems and overall health. We will also be visualizing specific colors that are associated with each meridian.

Healing Sounds: We will be using a different tone pertaining to each of the elements according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These sounds are used to tonify specific organs of the body according to the element.

(You may practice these sounds at night before going to bed to slow the body, promote good sleep, reduce bad dreams and to cool any organs that are overheated. In addition, they will clear out any negative emotions and let the positive emotions grow.)

Seasonal Meditation: There will be seasonal meditations at the change of each season. Next one will be the Winter Solstice Meditation on Friday, December 21, 2007 prior to each class.
